Learn how eVerbary collects, uses and shares your personal information when you use our website, our order API or our integrations with AI assistants.

Account information. Your name, email address, phone number (if you provide it) and password (handled by our authentication provider; we never store it in plain text). For law firms and organizations, also your team name, your role and billing details.
Documents and order information. The documents you upload for translation and everything they contain, which may include names, dates of birth, identification numbers and other sensitive information about you or your clients; the languages, page count and delivery options of each order; notes for our translators; and your client's name and case number if you provide them. We also keep the translations and certificates we deliver to you.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal. We receive a payment reference, the card brand and last four digits, and the payment status. We never receive or store full card numbers. If your team uses a prepaid balance, we keep a record of its top-ups, charges and refunds.
AI assistants and integrations. When you connect eVerbary to an AI assistant (such as ChatGPT or Claude) or another application, you sign in with your eVerbary account and authorize that application. We then receive only the requests it sends to our tools on your behalf: files you ask it to upload, quote and order details, and payment confirmations. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant or any other content from it. We keep a log of each request (which action, when, the order involved and the result) for security and support. Access tokens and API keys are stored only as secure hashes.
Device and usage information. Your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and how you interact with the Site, collected with cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Google Ads and the Meta Pixel. Clarity session recordings mask the content of your account and order pages.
- To translate, certify, notarize (when requested) and deliver your documents;
- To create and manage your account, quotes, orders, invoices and payments;
- To communicate with you about your orders and answer your questions;
- To carry out the orders and payments you request through AI assistants or our API, within the spending limits set for your account;
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents; and
- To improve the Site and our services, measure our advertising and, in line with the preferences you have shared with us, send you information about our services.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your documents to train AI models.
- Translators and notaries who work on your order, only as needed to complete it and under confidentiality obligations;
- Service providers that process data on our behalf, such as cloud hosting and storage (Google Cloud and Firebase), payments (Stripe and PayPal), email delivery (SendGrid), analytics (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) and advertising (Google Ads and Meta);
- Your team: if you belong to a law firm or organization account, its owners and administrators can see the team's orders, invoices and balance;
- Applications you connect: when you authorize an AI assistant or integration, it receives the results of the actions it performs for you, such as a quote, an order number, an order status or a download link. You can revoke this access at any time; and
- Legal reasons: to comply with applicable laws and regulations, respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request, or protect our rights and the safety of others.
We use Google Ads and the Meta Pixel to show you advertisements we believe may be of interest to you and to measure how well they work. For more information about how targeted advertising works, you can visit the Network Advertising Initiative's educational page.
You can opt out of targeted advertising through Google's ad settings, Meta's ad preferences and Bing's opt-out, or through the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out portal.
Please note that we do not alter our Site's data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.
You can access, correct or delete your personal information, or ask for a copy of it, by writing to support@everbary.com. You can disconnect an AI assistant or integration at any time from that application's settings or by contacting us, and we will revoke its access. You can opt out of marketing emails with the link in each email.
Depending on where you live (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or California), you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor them as required. Your information is processed in the United States.
We protect your information with encryption in transit, access controls, hashed credentials and tokens, and spending limits for automated payments. No system is completely secure, so please keep your password private and contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information, except as contained in documents that a parent or guardian submits for translation.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. We will post the new version on this page with a new date and, for material changes, notify account holders by email.
